Looking fuller and more like a typical Kuwaiti suburb, Google Earth have updated again recently and the above is the current view. No new roads are visible, which means the next update will look much more complete. There are signs of the preliminary work done on the main routes.
If you’re interested in how it looked before, click here for how it looked in March 2007; and here for February 2009.

They updated this finally and I would guess this image was captured in April 2008. My main clue is that the foundations for the new orange houses (in block 1) are being dug in this photo, and that’s when it all started.
I promised an update almost two years ago… I didn’t expect it would take this long.
I will work on getting the next one and hope it will have new roads on it

I read this in the local daily Al Qabas on 20 June 2008. It’s about a new bridge linking Mangaf to Sabahiya over Highway 30. I guess it’s the junction by the fire station (Road 101). The article is short and lacks all the important details such as location, dates, costs etc. However it does mention many names. If any of you reading this know any of these people, please ask them about roads for Blocks 1 and 2.

I found the equivalent on Al Watan daily. It mentions completion in the next six months! Expect major roadworks at this junction soon.
