Worse Before Better

August 18, 2009

It’s a very messy time for Mangaf.  Loud diggers, dusty trucks and lots and lots of excavation.  The clearing up continues and digging has started on the main routes for all the pipes.  While I was away for the summer, I lost my beloved trees in front of our house… I wish they put the effort to work around them instead of taking them out… but I understand.

Regular reader Abdulrahman emailed me today to say things are about to start in front of his house.  It will get much messier before it startss to take shape.

Good luck everyone and be careful of the deep excavation and heavy vehicles.

    Good morning,

Thank you Bu Yousef for your updates.
Yes as you stated, someone called me from Ministry of Public Work (sub-contracting cleaning company) that he would like to take out the parking ground blocks for their work. Without thinking, I answered him: GO AHEAD MAN! Take out what ever you need! and thanks for calling ..

if they need to call each ouse owner about this i feel it will delay the project! I hope everybody will cooperate with them.

    Good luck

lets hope they lay something before rain starts; otherwise, it will really become ugly!

Sorry to say it – but I doubt it. There is two years of work ahead and this winter (believe it or not) and the rain before/during is round the corner.

Any suggestions on how to overcome the mud between the door-step and the car!?

I’m thinking to get some environment friendly Gravel rocks (7a9am), one of my family members have the same in his chalet. this will not affect the Mangaf’s project. Since I asked them to take out my old ground blocks I was thinking to do this ..

7a6am is fine and works well.

I’m so upset about loosing my lawn&trees – I think I will just leave it sandy until they’re done.
