Electric Cables?

There are many of these next to the main substation (Mangaf D) on the coastal road opposite the Hilton.  Anyone know what they’re for?

Creepy Crawlies

July 8, 2008

I had a comment on one of my posts about creepy crawlies.  I found this photograph taken back in January.  I wanted to show how this area is still home to the wildlife of the region.  I would guess that they will be there until the street lights come on and more and more people move in.

Good News…

July 3, 2008

I think I’m the first to announce this – and I don’t know details at this stage.

This morning I saw two men with theodolites. I stopped and asked them what they’re doing and they confirmed it’s for the roads for blocks 1 and 2. They had plans for all the roads in the new area. They didn’t know any more about timing etc.

It’s nice to see the first step. It means we have not been forgotten.

Update 5 July 2008:
