Foundations

I drove around looking for signs of new buildings. To be honest I was hoping I would come across the location of the Co-Op that we keep hearing about. Anyway I saw this foundation being dug and was impressed by the size. I think it’s going to be a school. I will go again to the location and confirm soon. It must be almost completed by now!

Local Hardware Store

I don’t see these guys as much now.

I used them a couple of times and the prices were reasonable. I cleared the front of our house and needed a compactor (the thing the beats the sand into a hard surface). I paid 4KD for an hour including delivery!

New Beginnings

Some of the schools have been completed and have even started being operational. Nice to see more and more families moving into the area.

I’m stuck at Dubai airport today (for 5 hours) and am therefore finding old photos and adding them to the blog.

The area really has changed in the past year or so.

Keep Kuwait Clean

Throw your rubbish in Mangaf.

I’m sick an tired of seeing these piles of rubbish everywhere… I’ve called the council and they’ve done nothing – I’m going to call Kuwait Radio (Programme 2) who follow up people’s complaints…. Let’s see if that has a better result.
