In case you thought it’s only new houses on a desert…
It’s been a while since I took any photos of the developments in Mangaf… But this was taken from Al-Kout Mall in Fahaheel (the town next door) and it shows all the residential buildings by the sea.

The new part of Mangaf is all houses and schools but this should provide you with a different perspective. The buildings closer (on the left of the photo) come under Fahaheel but the ones in the distance are Mangaf-by-Sea.

Holy Smokes! That photo looks like one of those old time-y paintings, the colors are so pastel and sharp at the same time. Wow!

Thanks Intlxpatr. Appreciate your nice comment.

I must admit, the weather was perfect to produce such a photo. Dark clouds in the background and the sun shining onto the buildings produced this wonderful contrast.

Are those your photos on Flickr? If so, wow! Lovely! We might be moving to Mangaf in the summer, and I really appreciate seeing it-since I can’t see it yet. :)

    Hi Carly… Yes they are…
I hope your move is successful.. Mangaf is not yet a “ready” town but the areas around it have everything you need.

Feel free to email me if you have any specific questions. We moved into our house last year but we were living in Fintas before that which is only 10 minutes away by car.

    Hey Bu Yusuf,
    Thank you.
Are you able to have internet connection? Also, what kind of camera are you using, if you don’t mind. :)
Your profile is not enabled to be seen, so I couldn’t email you.
    Thanks again,
    Carly

    Hi again..

Internet availability depends on where you will live. The established part of Mangaf (the tower blocks mainly) has landlines so no problem… The new side – well it’s possible but costly. So, the best solution is a wireless system offered by the mobile operators MTC and Wataniya. Not sure which one is better value but I hear Wataniya has better coverage in this area. It’s fast, reliable and reasonably priced.

    My camera is a Nikon D70s :)
