Light at the end of the …

April 15, 2007
I have to admit, it sometimes feels like nothing ever happens here for months. But when I look at the photographs I take in this area I realise that there is progress being made on building the local schools (and some shops) – as well as the new petrol stations (will have a separate post soon).

Still no roads on my side of town – which can be fun at times but is usually a pain…

I took this photo recently of the roads near the coastal road (The Hilton Resort) and they’ve erected the posts to hold the street lamps…. I know it sounds a little sad but I’m really excited that we will be having LIGHT AT NIGHT!

Can’t wait for the road network to reach us – but for some reason nothing is happening on that front.

Watch this space…

Yes… Across the road from it. The road visible is parallel to the Coastal Road.

this should be a very nice place once it is built

will they build a mall there too?

Mark… Nice to hear from you. I never miss your 248am blog. I recommend it to all my friends.

The nearest mall now is as you probably know “Al-Kout”… They completed the construction of a smaller mall near Kuwait Magic called The Dome (or at least that’s what the project name was. But for some reason no shops have opened there yet!

To be honest, I think with Faheheel being so close and the fact that Mall of Kuwait is planned to be in Sabahiya, they will not think about Mangaf as it’s too close to both of them.

Thanks for passing through – Check back again soon. Regards to Nat.

    All the best,
    Mohammad

I’ve been watching the housing construction in that area – there are some fabulous houses, amazing in terms of design and execution and materials. It won’t be long before the whole area is covered – from a place that was mostly empty space even a year ago.

    Take more photos!

    Thanks Intlxpatr.

I will take/post more photos soon.
